To provide mechanical maintenance support in all operational aspects of production plant (and auxiliary services) To provide flexibility to the department, in providing craftsperson activities as designated by the Reliability & Maintenance Manager or deputy to support Operations and other functions on site.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adopt and comply with appropriate measures, procedures and standards to help control, monitor and improve the Safety, Health and the Environment (SHE) in plant operation, maintenance, installation, commissioning and decommissioning on the site.
- Provide maintenance support via routine PM?s and non–routine tasks, in and out of normal working hours
- Work within maintenance team, responsible for equipment installations across the site to include repair, replace, monitor and inspection services.
- Provide mechanical support in design installation, commissioning support to revenue / small capital projects and be creative in order to find effective solutions.
- Assess risks via Work Planning and Control / PETRA procedures prior to starting work in compliance with conditions of permits and handover to required standards.
- On completion sign off on both paper and electronic systems, ensuring relevant detail and text is present.
- Service and maintain equipment and completing work to required performance and standards.
- Diagnose process operation and maintenance problems
- Troubleshooting and running tests procedures
- Using your experience and knowledge, you will minimise unplanned downtime by providing solutions to complex mechanical engineering challenges.
- Practice good standards of housekeeping both in the workshops and on site.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement in terms of investigation, fault finding, root cause analysis, FMEA, standards, processes and relevant KPI?s. Contribute further, by implementing resolutions and improvements under Management of change procedure.
- Attend and contribute to SHE Cell?s, HAZOPS, Plant Improvement Meetings and training sessions.

Training to be provided
L2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing (Foundation Competence).
L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competencies) Mechatronics Maintenance Technician.
L3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
