Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing
With a business history spanning back 60 years, a specialism in engineering and a rating of ‘Good’ from OFSTED in our recent inspection, there’s never been a better time to find out more about the engineering apprenticeships from Training 2000.
Training 2000 offer two different routes to complete an Engineering Apprenticeship. The first is an in-centre model where the apprentice is on campus for a full 12 months in order to complete their Level 2 work, getting to grips with such skills as milling, turning, hand fitting, CNC. After completing these blocks, the learner will return to their employer and complete Level 3 work, during which a trained assessor will come into their workplace and assess them on the knowledge, behaviour and skills they need for an apprenticeship, then go to an end point assessment where they’re independently assessed by an expert within the awarding body.
Alternatively, learners can spend their time predominantly in the employer’s workplace, returning to the Training 2000 campus for block release training allowing for a non-consecutive approach that some might prefer.
The opportunities for learning are abundant, with the Training 2000 campus filled to the brim with a host of machinery that will expand the learner’s knowledge of all aspects of engineering, and allowing them to explore the areas and niches they are particularly interested in.
Something else that makes us stand out from the crowd is that we ensures learners are both aware of and compliant with the Engineering Code of Ethics. These morals and beliefs not only help to shape the learners in their work, but it also allows them to challenge the notions they find when they enter the workshop.
Apprenticeships
Training 2000 offer a wide range of Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships.

Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND)
Starting in September each year, our two year HNC and one year HND are taught one day per week, minimising the disruption to the employer.
