We are delighted to have won our 7th consecutive International Safety Award with merit from the British Safety Council in recognition of our commitment to keeping our workers and workplaces healthy and safe.

The International Safety Awards are independently marked by experienced health and safety practitioners. Now in their 57th year, the awards seek to celebrate and promote the success of organisations in protecting their employees from the risk of injury and ill health at work.

Phillip Watson, HSE Manager at Training 2000 said;

“This award is based on evidence we submit in response to questions set by the British Safety Council. There is then a 3 day on site audit of our systems which seeks to prove excellence in Health & Safety which goes above and beyond the legal requirement.

By winning this award we have demonstrated our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our staff.”

The International Safety Awards span all sectors and entries come from all over the world, including the United Kingdom, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the West Indies.

The glittering International Safety Awards gala dinner took place on Friday 24th April and all organisations who attained the distinction received a bespoke trophy.

Neal Stone, acting Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated Training 2000 ltd on its success;

“On behalf of the Trustees and staff of the British Safety Council we warmly congratulate Training 2000 and its employees on gaining an International Safety Award with merit for 2015.

“The International Labour Organisation estimates that every year over 2.3 million people globally are senselessly killed due to workplace injury and work-related ill health and an estimated 4% of global GDP is lost due to health and safety failure.

Awards have an important role to play in shining a light on those employers who are taking sensible and effective steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of their workers, celebrating their efforts and encouraging other businesses everywhere.”
