  • Part 2 (Tube & Fitting)

    The 10-day Part 2 course is the second part of the required CISRS training for the Scaffolder card. Part 2 can only be accessed when Part 1 has been successfully completed, and 6 months experience has been gained following the Part 1 course. A second Trainee card can be applied for.

  • Part 1 Tube and Fitting (Trainee Scaffolder Card)

    MONDAY, OCTOBER 19 2026 | 8:00 AM

    CISRS Trainee Scaffolder card holders will be considered a trainee scaffolder regardless of the experience they have within the scaffolding industry. Accordingly, they should not undertake any scaffolding activities unless they are under the direct supervision of a qualified scaffolder. The Trainee will be expected to complete the following training within the validity of 2 x 18 month CISRS Trainee Scaffolder Cards: • COTS • CISRS Part 1 • CISRS Part 2 • NVQ Level 2/ SCQF Level 5 • CISRS 1 Day Skills Test

  • CISRS New Entrant Constructions Operatives Training Scheme (COTS)

    MONDAY, AUGUST 10 2026 | 8:00 AM

    The course is for operatives who carry out onsite Labouring duties in support of Scaffolding operations. The holder of a CISRS Trainee Scaffolder or CISRS Scaffolding labourer card will have current Health and Safety knowledge and the required skills to carry out their duties in a safe manner.

  • Advanced Skills Test (AST)

    TUESDAY, AUGUST 11 2026 | 8:00 AM

    The law requires that any individual wishing to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding must be able to prove their competency. The industry-wide accepted proof of competency for operatives is to hold a CISRS Advanced Scaffolder card. Upon completion of this course, the operative will receive a CISRS Advanced Scaffolders Card. Valid for 5 years.

  • Fitting Short Course (AUEC2-005)

    This unit identifies the training and development required in order that the learner can demonstrate that they are competent in being able to: Prepare for the hand fitting activities by obtaining all the necessary information, documentation, tools and equipment required, and to plan how they intend to carry out the required fitting activities and the sequence of operations they intend to use.
