Optical

We offer a Level 3 Optical Assistant Apprenticeship that teaches individuals about eye health, vision tests, advising customers on frames and lenses, handling prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service. Throughout this course, apprentices are educated on the policies and procedures within the optical working environment, providing them with knowledge that can then be applied in the workplace. This course is delivered online, meaning that there is no need for the employee to travel to our Blackburn site.

Alternatively, we offer a flexible commercial route to upskill existing staff. Alongside the Level 3 Optical Assistant Apprenticeship, we also deliver a shorter 16-week Optical Assistant programme. This concise course is designed to fit around work schedules and provides new or developing team members with the essential skills required to support your practice effectively, helping to build confidence and competence in a short timeframe.
