All in the name of charity

Mixed group of apprentices stood holding a large cheque that shows they have raised £273.01 for The Wish Centre

We’ve been busy here at Training 2000 over the last couple of weeks, baking cakes, wearing orange, playing bingo (it’s a hard life) all in the name of charity.

Our Business Traineeship students have raised £273 in the name of The Wish Centre in Blackburn. They held an event demonstrating the skills they have learnt as part of their course, with stalls and games to entertain staff and employers alike.

Last week we also held a company-wide event in support of The Christie Charity’s “Big Do” national event. We got involved with the “Big Bake Off” and “The Big Job Swap” all done wearing our Christie’s orange t-shirts.

Please take a look at the write up the Christie Charity did on our event here

Of course charity events are part of our Corporate Social Responsibility but we also feel it is part of our company values and ethos. Charity events are also a valuable way to get staff involved and united, especially as we span many sites and areas of expertise.

Next we have a ‘Zumbathon’ on Saturday 22nd November raising money for Macmillan and East Lancashire Hospice. Will you get involved or donate? Email [email protected] to register your interest.

Keep an eye on our Blog section to keep up to date on all our charity events. You can also like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter, where we post pictures and updates.
