A strong interest in becoming an Optical Assistant and ideally GCSEs in maths and English at grade 4 or above

BSc (Hons) Ophthalmic Dispensing

UCLan’s BSc (Hons) in Ophthalmic Dispensing is a unique, two-year fast-track programme for those in the industry who want to gain qualifications while working.

Expected salary once qualified: £35,000

MSc

Optometry MSc

If you are working within the optical industry and wish to follow a fast-track path to a master’s qualification while working, UClan’s MSc Optometry is a good choice.

Expected salary once qualified: up to £60,000
