Paint – Senior Technician IMI Accreditation

Description:

Full Route – £880 + VAT (Training and Assessment) | 2½ days
Re-Accreditation – £690 + VAT | 2 days

The IMI Accreditation Paint route is intended for technicians whose job role involves the repair of vehicles typically involved in accidents or similar incident circumstances.

Senior Technician should be working in the accident repair sector of the industry and have at least three years’ experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to give a fault free finish for both the preparation of panels (existing and new) and the finishing of panels to match exist vehicle paint.

IMI Accreditation Senior Paint Technician requires Re-accreditation every 3 years

  • Completion of On-Line Assessment
  • Polish Panel (preparing, cleaning/polishing a vehicle panel)
  • Colour Identification and Colour Variant
  • Surface Preparation: Pre-Painted Panel/Door
  • Primed Surface – Flatting
  • Panel Sealing to OEM specification
  • Panel Preparation – New Panel
  • Wet on Wet – Primer(s)
  • 3 Stage Pearlescent Paint (application)
  • Identification of Paint Defects & Rectification procedures

1 day – Training £310.00 + VAT (Optional)

1 day – Assessment £380 + VAT
