Training 2000 has joined forces with Vantage Toyota to help increase awareness about Hybrid Electric Vehicles within the automotive sector, through a number of safety courses which are being run by the North West training provider.

The automotive centre now delivers Level 2 / Level 3 Awards in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Operation and Maintenance. This has been kindly supported by Vantage Toyota, Blackburn, who are supporting the program by loaning with the latest TOYOTA Hybrid Electric Vehicles.

The qualification also provides the essential knowledge and skills for members of the emergency services who may attend an incident involving a high voltage hybrid electric vehicle.

The UK has one of the fastest growing ultra-low emission vehicle markets in the world, to support this there is the need for fully trained technicians.

Steve Hodgson, Business Manager for Automotive said:

“It’s great that Vantage Toyota are supporting Training 2000 with the delivery of what is a really important qualification for anyone who may need to work around a vehicles hybrid electric system – the relationship with Vantage and the use of Toyota Hybrid electric vehicles for use during training, has given us the opportunity to help candidates understand the safety aspects of the high voltage system, also increasing their skills and awareness, whilst meeting BSI standards.”
