CISRS Supervisory/Management course

To meet the demands of today’s scaffolding industry; CISRS provides Supervisor/ Manager training. This training is tailored to deliver the knowledge and management skills required in contract scaffolding

Description

The 5 day CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager course is aimed at personnel providing first line supervision for scaffolding contractors (i.e Contract Managers, Supervisors, Foremen and non-working Charge- Hands).

  • COTS - Claim £150 to help pay for a CISRS Operatives Training Scheme (COTS) course.
  • Newly Qualified CISRS Scaffolder - Claim £200 for operatives qualifying for their first CISRS Scaffolder Card.
  • Newly Qualified CISRS Advanced Scaffolder - Claim £250 for operatives qualifying for their first CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card.
  • Newly Qualified CISRS Supervisor - Claim £500 for operatives qualifying for their first CISRS Supervisor Scaffolder Card.
  • CISRS Systems Scaffold Product Training Scheme (SSPTS) Endorsement - Claim £175 for operatives completing a CISRS SSPTS course and getting the system endorsement on their CISRS card.
  • CISRS Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme (SITS) - Claim £175 for operatives completing a CISRS SITS course and receiving an inspection card.

Prerequisites

Delegate holds a current CISRS Scaffolder card, or a current CISRS Advanced Scaffolder card.

Please note this course will run for 5 days over a period of 5 weeks. Training day will be a Wednesday.

Individuals not holding an eligible CISRS card detailed above, wishing to attend the course will be required to submit the following

  • A Supervisor CV form with contactable references and or/certificates.
  • A letter from their employer confirming their suitability for the course which outlines their awareness and experience gained via their role within the industry.
  • Confirmation that the delegate has had a minimum of 2 years’ experience in this role.

CITB HS&E Test (Supervisory Level) taken within 2 years (or accepted exemption)

The law requires that any individual wishing to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding must be able to prove their competency. The industry-wide accepted proof of competency for operatives is to hold a CISRS Advanced Scaffolder card. Upon completion of this course, the operative will receive a CISRS Advanced Scaffolders Card. Valid for 5 years.

Advanced Scaffold Inspection

This course is for people who hold a CISRS Inspection Card (or previous equivalent) or a CISRS Scaffolder Card for at least two years, or hold a CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card (gold card). You will learn the appropriate safety regulations and develop the ability to interpret design specifications and statutory regulations when inspecting complex/designed scaffolding structures for faults.
