“It’s not what you accomplish; it’s what you overcome to accomplish it that sets you apart.” – J Connors

Martin began his career as a PE teacher in Preston before moving to Poulton near Blackpool to take over as Head of Physical Education studies at Baines School. He later changed roles to then take up a pastoral role as Head of Year with the key responsibility of overseeing the GCSE years. This led to his appointment as a Deputy Headteacher at Cardinal Allen School in Fleetwood before then being appointed as Headteacher to Corpus Christi High School, Preston, where he raised the expectations of staff, learners and parents and successfully encouraged a culture of achievement for all.
