Domestic Vented & Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems (Installation Qualification)

Duration: 1 day (Approx 8.30am - 4:30pm)

Entry requirements:

Level 2 NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent. Been working within the industry for more than 5 years. NEW REGULATION.

All Plumbing & Heating Engineers currently holding an Unvented Hot Water Certificate with no expiry date on it MUST now under take the reassessment course in order to keep their qualification valid. All candidates must provide a copy of their existing unvented certificate, to qualify for the re-assessment course.

A must have qualification to work on and sign off all unvented Hot Water Units.

PowerPoint Presentation Training with Practical

Who is this for

Plumbers, Heating Engineers & Operatives who wish to install all Unvented Hot Water Systems. Upon completion installer will be allowed to join the Competent Persons Scheme. This will allow self – certification of work.


To confirm the competence in the design, installation and maintenance of unvented hot water storage systems. Comply with energy conservation requirements, whilst working within the Part L building requirements.


Practical Assessment, 2 Multi-choice question papers (open book & closed book)

Training Manuals sent out 3-4 weeks prior to course. Please state when booking which course you require, the theory & working principles or the installer’s qualification. Re-assessment bookings will be given manual on the course day.
