CISRS Skills Test & Assessment (Working towards VQ Level 2)

Duration: 1 day


Successful completion of the 1 day in centre skills test and VQ assessment is a mandatory element of the CISRS scheme.


Entry requirements:

Scaffolders must have completed the Scaffolding CISRS Part 2 course. Where the Skills Test assessment is not following on from recent training CISRS Part 1 & Part 2 training with Training 2000, please select enquiry or contact 01254 54659 and we will be able to advise on next steps.

The aim of this programme is to verify evidence brought forward by trainees who have previously attended the Basic Part 1 and 2 courses and have acquired the necessary level of practical experience.

Practical Skills Test/Assessment

Who is this for

Scaffolders working towards their CISRS ‘Scaffolder’ status. It would be expected that delegates attending this course would already have attended CISRS Part 1 & Part 2 training courses.


Trainees’ competence will be assessed in the following areas:

  • Interpreting instructions and information
  • Producing material lists and method statements
  • Selecting and checking components
  • The practical erection and dismantling of a cantilever scaffold
  • The practical erection and dismantling of a roof saddle/stack scaffold.
  • Trainee operatives will be able as a member of a team to erect alter and dismantle the above scaffold structures safely and in the correct sequence.
