Training 2000 have been congratulated on the fantastic 5th place overall finish during the World Skills UK 2016 competition – as the highest placed independent training provider which took part.
With learners receiving medals across a varied range of engineering disciplines, World Skills UK Chief Executive Dr Nick Bentley wrote to congratulate CEO Steve Gray on the success Training 2000 had at the national competition, held in Birmingham late last year.
Training 2000 learners went head to head with strong competition from fellow talented apprentices and were watched by 80,000 visitors over three days during the November World Skills UK show.
This followed on from regional competitions where apprentices showcased their technical and employability skills before being shortlisted to take part in the coveted UK finals at the Birmingham NEC
Training 2000 CEO Steve Gray said:
“Finishing 5th place overall at a competition which is recognised as a key event in the calendar by training providers, employers and learners alike is a fantastic achievement for us – and is testament to the high quality, skilled training that we offer to every young person that walks through our doors.
We’re looking forward to defending our position as the highest placed independent training provider later on in the year!”
