Training 2000 is a leading provider of Scaffolding & Access Equipment training to the Construction Industry and is a registered NASC Information Member. Our purpose built CISRS accredited Scaffolding Training Centre located in Blackburn, Lancashire is fully equipped to deliver a wide range of training from basic awareness sessions through to accredited PASMA, SSPTS and Scaffold Inspection level courses.

All of our instructors have extensive scaffolding industry experience both in the UK and globally and have completed nationally recognised qualifications.  Their expertise and in-depth knowledge will ensure you are provided with the best quality training that will help your company become compliant, safe, more profitable and competitive.

We also have vast experience in designing and developing bespoke training solutions and can tailor a course/programme suited to your individual requirements. We can also deliver training at a location of your choice (subject to facilities and equipment available).

Funding opportunities are maximised where possible to support elements of the CISRS training. Our sector specialists will discuss this in more detail with you to establish if you are eligible to benefit from funded NVQ delivery.

We can also deliver Scaffolding Apprenticeships and develop highly motivated and skilled Apprentices. Our delivery is designed in consultation with the industry to ensure we provide Apprentices with the level of skills and knowledge required to help your business grow and succeed.


Training 2000 uses the PASMA name and associated logos (‘the PASMA Marks’) as a member of PASMA and under licence from PASMA. NVQ Package (NVQ Level two or NVQ Level Three in Accessing Operations and Rigging)

CISRS is committed to vocational qualifications (NVQ). Where applicable, training and assessment under record scheme supports the achievement of National Vocation Qualifications, NVQ diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) (QCF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland or Scottish Vocation Qualifications (SVQ) in Scotland.

CISRS New Entrant Constructions Operatives Training Scheme (COTS)

Level: New Entrant

Duration: One Day

Cost: £100 +VAT (with card application fee)

 

The course is for operatives who carry out onsite Labouring duties in support of Scaffolding operations. The holder of a CISRS Trainee Scaffolder or CISRS Scaffolding labourer card will have current Health and Safety knowledge and the required skills to carry out their duties in a safe manner.

CISRS CPD Scaffolder / Advance Scaffolder Renewal

Duration: 2 days

Cost: £270.00 +VAT (with card application fee)

 

From the 1st July 2017, it is a requirement of the CIRS Training scheme, that CISRS Scaffolders and Advance Scaffolder card holders must attend a 2- day Scaffolder Refresher/ CPD course in order to renew their CISRS cards.

Asbestos Awareness

Duration: ½ day

This Asbestos Awareness training covers the following topics:

  • The properties of asbestos and its effects on health, including the increased risk of developing lung cancer for asbestos workers who smoke
  • The types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and asbestos materials in buildings and plant
  • The general procedures to deal with an emergency, e.g. an uncontrolled release of asbestos dust into the workplace
  • How to avoid the risk of exposure to asbestos

Important – Awareness training is not enough if you plan to carry out any work with asbestos containing materials.

Upon completion of the course, delegates will have been provided the knowledge and demonstrated their ability through assessment to be able to:

  • Identify and inspect tubes, boards, ladders, gin wheels, ropes and fittings correctly
  • State the main requirements of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Construction (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1996, Work at Height Regulations 2005 and Codes of Practice relating to scaffolding
  • Identify the construction requirements common to all scaffolds to include:
  • Foundations
  • Scaffold Framework
  • Platforms, handrails & toe-boards
  • Ladder access
  • Carry out inspections and fault identification on access scaffolds
  • Complete and maintain records in accordance with current statutory provision

The PASMA Mobile Aluminium Towers (Basic) course covers:

  • Legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers
  • PASMA Code of Practice
  • Product standards EN1004:2004
  • Assembling, altering and dismantling towers incorporating best current practice for fall protection
  • Inspection of completed mobile access towers and completion of inspection records

  • Understand how the use of a harness will affect working methods
