Hello and welcome to our Scaffolding page. You can watch our short video about our Apprenticeships and then click the link below to come into a Teams Meeting to meet the team to find out more and ask any questions.
Do you want to do an Apprenticeship but worried that you might not be ready? If you are 16-18 have you thought about a Traineeship?
You will get:
Q - I struggle with English/Maths – can I still apply?
A - Absolutely - we support all learners to develop their Maths/English skills throughout the programme and deliver Functional Skills qualifications at the appropriate level where applicable.
Q - How much will I get paid?
A - This will depend on your employer. Most employers pay more than the minimum wage due to the job that you do.
Q - Will I be provided with any equipment I may need?
A - Normally your company would provide your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is required to do your job.
Q - How much of the course is practical based?
A - Your first two weeks are classroom based and the other four x2 week blocks you do are more practical even though you will still do some classroom work as you need the theory before you can erect/dismantle the scaffolds.
Q - How many candidates will there be per group?
A - Maximum of 9 delegates are allowed in each group.
Q - What will be my working hours?
A - Whilst on your training course at Training 2000, the hours are Monday–Thursday 8–4.30pm and Friday 8–2pm. Your working hours will be determined by your employer.
Q - What support will I receive from Training 2000?
A - You will have the same tutor throughout your Apprenticeship who will keep in touch with you. You can also contact the scaffolding office if you are unable to contact your tutor. We also have Learner Support Officers.
Q - How do I apply?
A - Visit our website www.training2000.co.uk and fill out our application form. Our recruitment team will get in touch with you to arrange an informal chat and talk to you about our apprenticeship vacancies. They will then put you forward for interviews.
