Description
Course content includes assessment on the following:
- Underpinning Knowledge Test
- Remove & Replace Mechanical Trim and Electrical Components
- Carry out a Cosmetic Panel Alignment
- Remove and Refit a Radiator and Cooling System Tests
- Remove and Refit an SRS component
- Mechanical Component Removal and Replacement –Structural
- Diagnose Electrical Faults
- Carry out Four Wheel Geometry Checks and Alignment
- Refrigerant Handling
- Refrigerant Cylinder Handling
Pre-Requisites
A minimum of 2 years experience as a MET Technician would be advantageous
Target Group
The ATA assessments should be of interest for companies aiming to achieve the BSI Kitemark Standard in view of the recently released PAS 125 document. It may also be of interest for those technicians working within the industry who wish to attain recognition for their level of skills.
Aim
A 2 day assessment to assess a candidates underpinning knowledge by on-line test and their practical skills by a series of workshop tasks relating to their occupation.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of all the elements of the assessments days the candidate will have demonstrated their competence at Senior Technician Level.
