Description
Upon completion of this course candidates will be able to understand:
- How to handle erect lower and use different types of ladders
- How to identify potential hazardous situations on the ground and above
- The importance of correct storage and inspection requirements
- The duties and responsibilities of both employees and employer with regard to ladder use and inspection
Target Group
This course is aimed at anyone who is working at height using ladders/steps. It is also applicable to raise awareness of those whose role includes managing or supervising staff or who are responsible for site Health and Safety where ladders are in use.
Aim
To raise awareness and understanding on correct safe method of use of ladders.
Objectives
To enable candidates to handle erect lower and use ladders safely recognising the Working at Heights 2005 regulations.
