Pre-Requisites
No previous health & safety knowledge required.
Target Group
Managers, supervisors and staff who need a broad understanding of Health & Safety issues.
Aim
A 13 day course to enable candidates to have a broad knowledge of Health & Safety issues. The certificate provides candidates with an excellent working knowledge of the essentials of managing Health & Safety and enables them to provide competent advice on Health & Safety issues. Successful candidates can become affiliated members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Objectives
Assessment
Units 1&2: 2 hour written examination 10 short plus 1 long answer. This is marked by external examiners. Unit 3: 2 hour practical internally assessed by Training 2000.
