Target Group
For personnel required to give basic instructional manual handling training, in the workplace.
Aim
A 2 day course designed to enable candidates to provide basic work place instruction on the tasks that are undertaken in their working area.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to:
• Demonstrate an understanding of the relevant laws and regulations that are applicable to the manual handling of loads at work
• Safely instruct others in safe manual handling and reduce the risk of injuries
• Construct a training programme and materials appropriate to their needs
