Aim
To provide the delegate with the basic skills and knowledge to safely store handle and transfer chemicals.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of the training course participants should be able to:
- Understand basic rules for safe chemical handling
- Recognise where chemical hazards are present
- Recognise dangerous situations involving chemicals
- Understand the information provided on labels
- Select appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Understand the basic concepts of toxicology
- Understand various use and storage requirements
