Description

Noggin follows a simple ethos: Learn, Test & Refresh.

The Noggin - Equality & Diversity course comprises 5 learning module presentations followed by a testing phase. Students watch the learning module presentations before progressing to the testing phase, where they are required to answer 25 randomised questions.

The modules cover:

  • Employment Law
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Disability Awareness
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Stereotyping

Student presentation viewings and test attempts are recorded for management to report on at a later stage and upon successful completion students are emailed a personlised PDF certificate. Those who fail can retake the test as many times as necessary within the time allocated by their Teacher. The questions are taken from a bank of questions and are randomised so each test has the potential to be completely different.

Noggin is managed by a member of your organisation, we term them the “Headmaster”.

Headmasters can:

  • Assign Teachers to manage a group/s of Students, persons usually assigned include: Line Managers, Department Heads or Human Resources
  • Enroll Students
  • Schedule Classes & add Students to those Classes
  • Track Students Study Progress

All good businesses that recognise the importance of ensuring their employees comply with equality and diversity legislation with a clearer appreciation of the Equality Act.

The new Equality Act came into force on 1st October 2010 and brought together over 116 pieces of legislation and introduced some new provisions into one single Act. The Act defines the characteristics of 9 protected groups Age, Disability, Gender Reassignment, Marriage and Civil Partnerships, Pregnancy and Maternity, Race, Religion and Belief, Gender and Sexual Orientation.

The Act simplifies and strengthens the current legislation and provides the UK with a new discrimination law which protects individuals from unfair treatment and promotes a fair and equal society.

This knowledge can help us all to contribute positively and help create a fairer society where everyone can participate and have the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
