Target Group
Anyone requiring emergency first aid skills or for low risk occupations employing less than 50 people. People providing support to the qualified first aiders.
Aim
A 1 day course to provide delegates with a working knowledge of basic life support techniques.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course the candidate will have a basic understanding of:
- Clear an obstructed airway
- Maintain breathing
- Maintain circulation
- Treat minor bleeding
- Place a casualty into the recovery position
- Treat burns/ fractures
- Know what is in the first aid box
