Training 2000 Environmental Policy

Training 2000 Limited was formed in 1989 by a merger between Accrington and District Group Training Scheme and Blackburn and District Group Training Association. Training 2000 Limited is a registered charity governed by a non-executive board drawn from its member companies. A wide range of learning is provided throughout industry and commerce and through public and private partnerships.

Training 2000 Limited is committed to a continuous improvement approach. This approach aims to address the concerns of our stakeholders in the best possible manner. It is evidence of our willingness to implement benchmark systems. This is why we are determined to contribute in an active way to the protection of the environment.

This determination is shared by all departments on all sites within the Company. The best available techniques and overall economic performance are taken into account when considering the evolution of our activities.

The Environmental Project Group has been established to co-ordinate all actions and to ensure that our corporate responsibility for the environment is implemented. This group forms an integral part of the Safety, Health and Environment structure and is responsible to the company SHE Committee.


Our actions are governed by the following principles:

  • To prevent pollution to land, air and water. 
  • To comply with legislation, regulations and other applicable environmental requirements. 
  • To establish an annual environmental plan, identify significant aspects and set objectives. and targets 
  • To seek to minimise the environmental impact of the Company`s operations and the more efficient consumption of energy. 
  • To a total commitment to continual environmental improvement. 
  • To communicate and inform internally and externally in an appropriate manner. 

Each person will receive the necessary training, and by the use of good practices, has the responsibility to put the above principles into operation.
