Our full time courses are aimed at giving 16 to 18 year-olds the opportunity to develop the skills they need to find, and succeed in, employment or progress onto an Apprenticeship.
Aimed at those who are not currently in work and are not quite ready for an Apprenticeship , but are focused on getting a job, they comprise the following core elements:
Our full time courses are part of the Apprenticeship family, however, there are a number of differences between the schemes. Our full time courses are delivered at our training sites and have the aim of securing young people’s progression to an Apprenticeship or sustainable job as quickly as possible. The programmes are great for those who are looking for an alternative to school, those looking for a real life experience not just classroom based or those who want to progress onto an Apprenticeship.
2-3 days per week
This course covers topics such as working safely and effectively in an automotive environment, transport maintenance, introduction to automotive repair trades and vehicle maintenance, processes and procedures.
The course also includes:
Upto 12 months 4 days per week (8 weeks minimum duration)
This programme is designed to help and support young people gain valuable work experience and qualifications that will prepare them for employment.
It’s ideal if you have not yet made your mind up what you want to do career wise. The course will cover all aspects of employability such as;

12 weeks to 12 months
The Dental Study Programme aims at preparing you for a career in dentistry. The course aims at giving you an introduction to the job role with employability skills such as interview techniques, team working skills, time management, CV writing, career planning and more.
You will gain knowledge on cross infection prevention, health and safety, first aid and safeguarding, which are all useful for your CV and helping you find a job.
You will also receive advice and support with finding permanent work placements to help you progress onto your Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing.

LEVEL 1 Certifcate in employability
Up to 6 months
You will gain knowledge of different areas of Business Administration, develop your interview techniques, enhance your CV and be given the opportunity to complete a structured work experience programme at a local company with a guaranteed interview for an Apprenticeship on completion.
LEVEL 1 & 2
1 year - 2 days per week
The Engineering full time course is for those who are interested in an engineering career but are unsure which area of engineering to choose.
It covers a wide range of engineering topics and activities, including workshop skills such as using hand tools, machining and fabrication activities.
