It’s Gold! Training 2000 Restaurant Wins Award

December 14, 2016

3 training 2000 catering staff members stood in a line in front of a light blue wall.

Training 2000’s Orlandos restaurant has been recognised for offering quality, healthy food options via a Local Authority award.

Run by Blackburn with Darwen Council in partnership with Lancashire County Council, the ‘Recipe 4 Health’ scheme recognises local businesses which provide a healthier food choice to those they cater for.

The scheme is part of a public health drive for businesses to contribute to tackling ill-health and obesity.

Orlandos Restaurant is located at the training providers’ Blackburn site on Harwood Street and is open to learners, staff and the general public.

After being named as a gold winner, which compliments the restaurant’s grade 5 food hygiene rating, Head Chef Sandra Cox was delighted with the award win.

Sandra said: “This is fantastic news and really showcases the quality we strive to deliver to Training 2000 learners, staff and also the general public.

With a variety of healthy options including our ‘Be Well’ daily specials, our popular healthy alternatives are well promoted and popular with our customers.”
