Technology throughout Training 2000’s high quality teaching & learning is increasingly being utilised across the business.

In the latest rollout, work preparation learners have used tablet devices to complete worksheets online – eliminating the need for paper versions and allowing tutors to display work directly onto interactive white boards, sharing good practice and knowledge straight to the whole group.

Learners were extremely positive in their feedback for how this enhanced the whole experience, with one commenting:

“I think that the tablets and the OneNote Class Notebook are easier to learn with because it’s easy to interact with others and show good communication skills when you’re working as a group.”

Chris McKay, a tutor who has utilised the technology in the classroom, was also extremely positive, saying:

“The use of smart technology and Office 365 has completely transformed the teaching and learning process which my learners experience.

“It enables learners to enhance their ICT skills and independent learning whilst improving engagement with their core qualification. It is a fun, innovative and efficient tool in inspiring and developing the learner’s skills and knowledge.”

This builds on other technology being utilised across the business, including the use of augmented reality technology in the £1.2m Advanced Manufacturing & Automation Centre.
