What is Train Up Work Taster Programme?
- Level 1 programme if you want to try out different career options either with an employer or inhouse taster sessions within our occupational areas
- A personalised learning programme, tailored to your needs, which will help you train up and achieve your future goal
- Roll on roll off programme
- Approx 20 hours per week with an average duration of 20 weeks that can be less or more depending on your needs
- You will work towards qualifications covering Functional Skills (Maths, English and ICT), Vocational Learning, and Personal and Social Development (PSD)
- As part of your programme you can work with a local employer or take part in inhouse work taster sessions
What will I get?
- You will get practical work experience to give you a taste of the careers you may want to train up to. It’s a chance to try out a job and see what it’s like
- Vocational Taster training days via a carousel activity at Training 2000 or with an Employer
- You will get your travel expenses paid
- You will have an Engagement Adviser to help you, offering you one to one support throughout your programme
- Guaranteed Apprenticeship interview
- A possible bursary entitlement
- Nationally recognised qualifications that enable you to progress

- A guaranteed Apprenticeship interview
- Progression to Train Up Pre Apprenticeship Programme, an Apprenticeship, Further Education, job with training or a job
