Q - How long do engineering Apprenticeships last?
A - Most of our Apprenticeships are 4 years but can be shorter dependant on the type of engineering you are learning.
Q - What areas of engineering do you do Apprenticeships in?
A - We offer engineering Apprenticeships in a range of areas, such as CAD (Computer Aided Design), Welding, Fire & Security systems, Electronics, Mechatronics and CNC
Q - Do you offer electrician Apprenticeships?
A - No, unfortunately we do not cover domestic electrical.
Q - Where will I do my training?
A - For the first year either full time at Training 2000’s engineering centre in Blackburn OR you will based at your employer and you will attend Training 2000 for x6 block training sessions which last 1 month each.
Your second year will be 1 day per week attending Training 2000.
Your third and fourth years will be based full time with your employer and we’ll visit you for your assessments.As we are a part of the University of Central Lancashire it allows opportunities for learners to develop their skills in partnership with them.
Q - Do you find me a job?
A - We work with many local engineering companies, who advertise their vacancies on our website. These will change daily, so always check back for the latest ones.
Q - What training can I do after I’ve finished my Apprenticeship?
A - As we are part of the University of Central Lancashire, you can easily progress onto a Degree Apprenticeship
Q - How do I apply?
A - Visit our website www.training2000.co.uk and fill out our application form. Our recruitment team will get in touch with you to arrange an informal chat and talk to you about our apprenticeship vacancies. They will then put you forward for interviews.
