The latest Cyber Security Breaches Survey has revealed that two-thirds of big UK businesses have been hit by a cyber attack during the past year.
With most of the attacks involving viruses, spyware or malware, this latest update highlights the growing dangers faced through cyber crime.
The survey suggested that 7 out of 10 attacks could have been prevented – with no more than 20% understanding the dangers which stem from sharing information with third parties.
Sarah Green, Training 2000’s business manager for cyber security said of the survey:
“This highlights the huge effect cyber crime is having across businesses within the UK – and whilst this study focuses on larger organisations the same is true for small and medium companies who need to put in place a structure to prevent and mitigate the huge impact a cyber-attack can have on your organisation.”
