At the heart of the Lancashire economy, Training 2000 is seeking an outstanding individual for the post of Recruitment Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract. About the Role:

The Recruitment department is the key 1st contact stage for both future apprentices and employers, highlighting the importance and strategic position it holds within the Training 2000 business.

 

We are looking for an engaging, proactive and customer focused individual, who can communicate at all levels, with senior managers, applicants and employers. The successful candidate will be target driven and in return will gain uncapped levels of commission in line with the business strategy and forecasted figures.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and filtering applications coming through the training 2000 recruitment process, leading to an invitation for a pre interview or referral through to the Study Programme team. This will lead to interviewing and creating a shortlist of applicants for the employer where you will prepare/check CVs and correspondence to forward to employers regarding suitable applicants.

 

The successful candidate will have experience of participating in marketing and promotional activities in support of the programme and the Company’s other products, in conjunction with social media and radio campaigns to advertise positions, attract applicants and build relationships.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the continuing development of the FE and HE delivery at Training 2000 as we continue to grow as part of the UCLan group. The post holder will play a fundamental part in Training 2000 achieving its strategic vision by continuously improving, growing and maintain a quality experience for our learners and employers.

 

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week; with a flexible working requirement, which could involve working evenings and on the very odd occasion weekends.

 

In addition to the above, your additional duties include:

 

  • Quality check vacancies coming through to various sectors via the recruitment needs form.

 

  • Liaise with employers and internal colleagues in assisting to secure employment for the applicants and develop a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment.

 

  • Deliver responsive and accurate recruitment and administrative support, along with timely and accurate management information, data and records.

 

  • Deliver effective supervision, mentoring and support of apprentices.

 

  • Conduct all activities with a positive customer focus and communicate with respect and in line with procedures. Equally act as an effective focal point for all related enquiries.

 

  • Adhere strictly to all copyright protocols and legislation and to all relevant working instructions, procedures and documentation. Ensure that all activities follow SFA contractual and audit requirements.

 

  • Carry out employer visits where necessary.

 

Requirements:

Possession of qualification in NVQ Level 3 Customer Service or equivalent, be fully competent in the use and application of all Microsoft applications, possession of NVQ Level 3 Information Advice and Guidance or equivalent is preferred but not essential and basic knowledge of all Company policies and procedures relating to apprenticeship training and funding.

This position attracts a salary of £19,190 plus commission and an attractive benefits package including 27 days holiday per year which increases to 32 with service.

 

The position is based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site, but will involve an amount of travel across Lancashire in line with Business Development activities. Therefore a current driving license and availability of a vehicle (for which mileage is paid at 40p per mile) is essential.

 

The working hours for this role are 37.5 per week working 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on Fridays, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break Monday to Thursday.
