Training 2000 is at the heart of the Lancashire economy, developing talent and training the next generation. We are growing and an exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of a Casual Invigilator to support with our examination process and test centre exams this year.


The role will be supporting the Central Services team and will be to provide exam invigilation for all internal and external exams. The role ensures that exams are taken place within the awarding body guidelines and full training will be provided.


Duties will include:


  • Be responsible for starting and finishing all internal and external online and paper examinations.


  • Assist in the setting up test centre, laying out equipment, turning on computers and papers in a timely manner and in accordance with awarding body procedures and guidelines.


  • Assist the Central Admin and Call Centre manager in arranging suitable invigilation for the examinations, invigilate the examination, including dealing with examination anomalies professionally.


  • Communicate examination procedures to learners and meticulously oversee learner behaviour.


  • Respond to learner requests during the examination and to ensure no unauthorised material is used.


  • Escort learners from the location during the examination, such as for toilet breaks.


  • Maintain learner invigilation records, attendance and absence records.


  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures





Candidates must have excellent planning and organising skills and be able to manage time effectively as well as having an eye for detail. In addition, our ideal candidate will have held a similar role previously and have broad knowledge of the JCQ ICE requirements.


Full, robust invigilator training will be provided to all successful applicants



Terms and Conditions:


The role will be appointed to on a casual basis with a rate of pay of £8.21 per hour.
