In accordance with our organisational development we have an exciting and important vacancy within our Commercial Organisation’s Quality department based at the Rolls Royce site in Derby.

 

About the role:

 

You will be responsible for:

Monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of the quality of assessment processes and practice.
Monitoring of the quality of assessor performance, identification of assessor development needs and facilitation of assessor development to maintain and improve the quality of assessment

Duties:

·         Plan and prepare monitoring activities according to the requirements of own role
·         Determine whether assessment processes and systems meet and operate according to quality requirements
·         Check that assessors meet the requirements for their role
·         Analyse assessor capabilities and potential in the context of their objectives and other requirements
·         Agree and prioritise assessor learning needs and produce individual development plans with assessors to reflect these
·         Provide assessors with feedback, advice and support to help them maintain and improve their assessment practice
·         Check that assessments are planned, prepared for and carried out according to agreed procedures

 

 

Requirements:

 

You need to be committed, positive, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

 

This role will involve a small amount of travel and a current driving licence and availability of a vehicle is therefore essential.

 

Applicants must have an understanding of Apprenticeships and hold an Assessor and Internal Verification qualification and to have gained experience within and Engineering environment.

Internal verifiers will be expected to regularly review their skills, knowledge and understanding and where applicable undertake continuing professional development to ensure that they are carrying out workplace quality assurance (verification) of assessment processes and practices to the most up to date units of competence.

Internal Verifiers will also be expected to discuss the general principles of the competences being assessed and to describe the practical aspects of the competence being assessed.
