The Role

Our apprenticeship programme provides the next generation of Engineers with the relevant knowledge, skills and experience needed to ensure that they are a fantastic addition to employers. Our qualifications are developed in partnership with employers to deliver training to industry standards to ensure that our apprentices are armed with the knowledge and industry competence to help shape and define how the Engineering sector will develop in the years ahead.


In order to support this, we are now looking for an Engineering Instructor that has a background in hydraulics, pneumatics or fitting to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.


This role will involve teaching predominantly practical based sessions to our apprentices in our Centre Workshop although some theoretical sessions will be required. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has a strong Engineering background and has experience in hydraulics, pneumatics or fitting. Our ideal candidate will have also have experience in teaching and assessing although this is not essential and full training and qualifications can be provided as part of our attractive benefits package.


In return, you will join a team of highly skilled people who truly make a difference to the lives of our Engineering apprentices. You will help Engineers fulfil their potential and develop fantastic relationships with both our apprentices and their employers.


The working hours for this role are 37.5 per week; 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on Fridays, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break Monday to Thursday and attracts a salary of £27,000-£30,000 based on qualifications.
