An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for an Instructor – Mechanical Maintenance.

 

About the Role:

 

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn and will be a permanent role.

We are delivering the governments newly created qualification developed in partnership with employers and delivering training to industry standards in all disciplines where they are currently available which ensure that you and our apprentices are armed with the knowledge and industry competence to help shape and define how the Engineering sector will develop in the years ahead. Working closely with our employers we help to ensure that the candidate is a fantastic fit for the employer and this role is to designed provide a full and comprehensive training service to Company’s on their business needs, including the delivery of professional and focused support through innovative delivery of Company programmes which will inspire learners to achieve their potential.

 

Below is a list of some of the role responsibilities:                                       

 

  • To design, develop and deliver creative, inclusive learning programmes, schemes of work, lesson plans and materials to deliver high quality structured learning sessions to meet learner and customer needs and programme specifications.

 

  • To contribute to the internal verification, assessment and standardisation of work process and to the development and delivery of the SAR and QIP in the pursuit of continuous improvement.

 

  • To maintain appropriate learner tracking records that meet company, awarding body and customer requirements. To provide information relating to learner progress, achievements and support needs.

 

  • To effectively manage the delivery environment and the learning process to ensure the safety and well-being of all learners. To follow guidance in effectively contributing to the management of learner behaviour.

 

  • To ensure that all resources are serviceable and safe for use and to maintain the stock levels of relevant consumable items in agreement with the appropriate Manager.

 

  • To contribute to the promotion of Training 2000 particularly with employers, learners, schools and parents by assisting with School visits, Parents Information Evenings, Open Days and Prize Nights relative to the Engineering department.

 

  • To carry out regular risk assessments of the learning process and environment in accordance with the Company’s risk assessment policy and procedure, and implement any relevant control measure/ action plans.

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Applicants must have a strong Engineering background and experience in Engineering Maintenance is highly desirable. If you have industry experience we can help and support with assessment qualifications to develop you into this role.

 

  • Subject specialist vocational qualification (Mechanical Maintenance) – minimum level 3 and completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.

 

  • A relevant assessing qualification is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be required to complete assessor training during a probationary period which is fully supported and covered by ourselves as part of this attractive package.

 

  • Experience of curriculum design, development and delivery within the relevant occupational sector is desirable but not essential.

 

  • Strong organisation skills in the handling and completion of projects or tasks and associated documentation on a timely and accurate basis to contractual requirements would be highly desirable.

 

  • Good ICT skills with experience in word, excel, PowerPoint in the development and compilation of learner materials documentation and records.

 

  • You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

 

  • The position requires a self-motivated and effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

Terms and Conditions:

 

The working hours for this role are 37.5 per week; 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on Fridays, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break Monday to Thursday.
