The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Engineering team and therefore, you will be joining a team of Instructors who are all skilled across a range of disciplines within Engineering and who have a real passion for creating future talent.
We’re looking for an Engineering Instructor that has experience in fabrication and welding and who wants to pass on that knowledge to our Apprentices. You will be responsible for delivery on the governments newly created qualification developed in partnership with employers and delivering training to industry standards in all disciplines where they are currently available. You will be teaching predominantly practical based sessions to our apprentices in our Centre Workshop although some theoretical sessions will be required.
We are looking for someone who has a strong Engineering background and has experience in Engineering fabrication and welding. Our ideal candidate will have also have experience in teaching and assessing although this is not essential and full training and qualifications can be provided as part of our attractive benefits package.
In return, you will join a team of highly skilled people who truly make a difference to the lives of our Engineering apprentices. You will help Engineers fulfil their potential and develop fantastic relationships with both our apprentices and their employers.
For this role, you will receive a salary up to £30,000 per annum (dependent upon qualifications held) and a competitive benefits package. In addition, we believe in providing more than just salary and benefits and we’ll give you time and support to develop your career. Our Engineering Instructors continually develop themselves and we’re in the process of developing a learning and development strategy with dedicated CPD days to ensure our whole workforce can continually enhance their career.
To give you an idea of our benefits, we firmly believe in having a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase with over time to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance whilst employed at 4 x your annual salary. Finally, with pensions being an important part of peoples career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.
