The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Engineering team and therefore, you will be joining a team of tutors who are all passionate about making a difference to the lives of our apprentices. You will be joining the FE / HE team and therefore will be delivering on our level 3 programmes and will be subject specific in Fire and Security systems.
We’re looking for an FE Tutor that will work as part of our FE / HE team to design, develop and deliver both theoretical and practical learning programmes. You will be the expert in the field of Fire and Security and will ensure that learners are effectively supported through their apprenticeship to achieve their qualification.
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and technically competent in fire and security disciplines including fire, security, CCTV and access control. Our ideal candidate will hold a qualification in either fire and security, emergency systems or electrical engineering to a minimum of Level 3 and will have a real passion for passing knowledge onto our apprentices. We are looking for someone who has teaching experience and although not essential, a teaching qualification would be an advantage.
In return, you will work as part of a dedicated team and develop the Engineers of the future.
For this role, you will receive a salary of up to £31,000 (dependent upon qualifications held) and a competitive benefits package. Our Tutors continually develop themselves and we’re in the process of developing a learning and development strategy with dedicated CPD days to ensure our whole workforce can continually enhance their career.
The position is based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site and working hours for this role are 37.5 per week; 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on Fridays.
To give you an idea of our benefits, we firmly believe in having a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase with service to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance at 4 x your annual salary through our provider Ellipse. Finally, with pensions being an important part of peoples career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.
