Electrical Engineer Instructor

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for an Electrical Engineer Instructor

 

About the Role:

 

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn and will be a permanent role.

 

The main purpose of this role is to deliver practical and theoretical learning sessions that cover Vocational and Work related skills relative to the sector and to ensure learners are effectively supported throughout the learning process.

 

Below is a list of some of the role responsibilities:

 

  • To design, develop and deliver creative, inclusive learning programmes, schemes of work, lesson plans and materials to deliver high quality structured learning sessions to meet learner and customer needs and programme specifications.
  • To contribute to the internal verification, assessment and standardisation of work process and to the development and delivery of the SAR and QIP in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • To maintain appropriate learner tracking records that meet company, awarding body and customer requirements. To provide information relating to learner progress, achievements and support needs

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Applicants must have completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship and a background with experience in Electrical Engineering is essential.
  • A relevant assessing qualification is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be required to complete assessor training during a probationary period.
  • Possession of a teaching qualification (minimum level 3)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant vocational sectors.
  • Demonstrates highly effective planning and organisation skills in the management of a learner portfolio.
  • Demonstrates strong engagement skills and commercial capability to develop employer relationship and to drive business opportunity.
  • Demonstrates an ability to support continuous improvement by offering innovative ideas and solutions which benefit the learning process.
  • The position requires a self-motivated and effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

Terms and Conditions:

 

The working hours for this role are 37.5 per week; 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on Fridays, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break Monday to Thursday.
