Training 2000 is at the heart of the Lancashire economy, developing talent and training the next generation. We are growing and an exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Apprentice Development Leader working out of the Rolls Royce site in Bristol

The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Rolls Royce contract team and therefore, you will be joining a varied team who have just been through a period of significant growth. We employ approximately 50 people to work on our Rolls Royce contract and you will be joining a team of passionate people who really want to make a difference to the lives of others.

 

We’re looking for a positive and motivational Apprentice Development that will be responsible for the day to day monitoring and assessment of a group of Rolls Royce Apprentices working towards the achievement of Apprenticeship frameworks in manufacturing disciplines.

 

For this role you will be using your coaching skills with Apprentices to guide them through their Engineering programme. You will use a range of methods to do this which will include conducting one to one reviews with them every 8 weeks utilising a quality learning plan which will really help them succeed on time and gain the most from their qualification. In order to succeed in this role, you will thrive off working with Apprentices as you take a first line management approach to helping your Apprentices gain experience within the Rolls Royce business.

 

In addition to this, you will also need to work closely with the Rolls Royce stakeholders and the local colleges who they engage in order to identify any improvements and ensure that the programme is working as it should.

 

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and an effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with Apprentices or Graduates in an information, advice and guidance capacity and will demonstrate an understanding of Apprenticeships. Additionally, although not essential, possession of an assessor’s qualification and experience of team leading in any capacity would be an advantage.

 

This role will involve an amount of travel and a current driving licence and availability of a vehicle is therefore essential.

For this role, you will receive a salary of up to £38,000 depending on qualifications and experience and a competitive benefits package. In addition, we believe in providing more than just salary and benefits and we’ll give you time and support to develop your career. Our Apprentice Development Leads continually develop themselves through learning from each other and ensuring their CPD is up to date. Additionally it is a great time to join as we’re in the process of developing a learning and development strategy with dedicated CPD days to ensure our whole workforce can continually enhance their career.

 

To give you an idea of our benefits, we firmly believe in having a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase over time to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. You will also accrue 3 lieu days per year working on the Rolls Royce contract which you will be able to use for the compulsory shut downs around Easter and Christmas. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance whilst employed at 4 x your annual salary. Finally, with pensions being an important part of peoples career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.
