The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Centre team.

 

The Role:

We’re looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Technical Trainer who will deliver practical and theoretical training in advanced manufacturing techniques, specifically in CAD/CAM and CNC. In addition to this, you will be supporting commercial clients with CNC manufacturing solutions and research and development projects.

 

In this role you will have responsibility for delivering training to a range of audiences including apprentices, graduates and commercial clients. For this role, you will need to be competent in the operation of advanced machinery as you will be required to teach and also deliver commercial manufacturing work.

 

For the commercial manufacturing work, you will be responsible for engaging with commercial customers to understand their requirements and seek opportunities to generate revenue streams. You will be working with customers on research and development opportunities which arise from advanced manufacturing requirements and provide robust solutions that meet customer needs. This may range from new product integration, research and development and also improvements to existing customer processes which provide added value to our customer base. In line with this, you will have a set of agreed KPI’s which will arise from your strong relationships with customers and ability to understand their needs.

 

For the teaching aspect of the role, you will be required to develop and deliver engaging training sessions and full support will be provided through our experienced team. Due to the environment which you will be operating, you will need to ensure that the working environment is in a safe state at all times and you are adhering to Health and Safety policies.

 

Finally, you will be required to maintain partnerships and the relationship with our parent company with support from the senior team.

 

We’re looking for someone who is a time served Apprentice and who has in depth experience in programming NC machinery and CAD/CAM software. You will also be an excellent communicator able to manage internal and external relationships in a professional manner and be confident in your delivery of complex information. Teaching experience although beneficial is not essential as full training and support can be provided in this area.

 

In return, you will be part of our flagship Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Centre (AMAC), working with key clients and using some of the best and latest CNC equipment available to the market. This is a great time to be joining the team, with a number of exciting projects already in place and more in the pipeline.  This is a truly unique opportunity and you will have an extremely varied range of responsibilities with the potential to make a significant contribution to the future of the AMAC facility.

 

Terms and Conditions:

For this role, you will receive a salary of £30,000 – £35,000 depending on knowledge and experience and a competitive benefits package. In addition, we believe in providing more than just salary and benefits and we’ll give you time and support to develop your career.  Our ROLE continually develop themselves through working with partner organisations, attending industry events and forums and formal training. We are also in the process of developing a learning and development strategy with dedicated CPD days to ensure our whole workforce can continually enhance their career.

 

To give you an idea of our benefits, we firmly believe in having a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase with over time to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance whilst employed at 4 x your annual salary. Finally, with pensions being an important part of people’s career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.
