Do you want to educate and share your AAT knowledge in the finance sector with others?
Are you level 4 AAT qualified or equivalent?
If so, then we have the perfect role for you!
Training 2000 is at the heart of the Lancashire economy, developing talent and training the next generation. We are growing and an exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of AAT Career Development Advisor.
If you haven’t already heard of us, we are part of the University of Central Lancashire Group and have over 50 years’ experience of delivering high quality technical and professional training programmes to industry and individuals.
We have a strong heritage, skilled workforce, state of the art facilities and above all a great team ethos. We are on a mission to deliver learning excellence and create outstanding talent for Lancashire and beyond and we firmly believe our people are our biggest asset in achieving this. Our customers are diverse and their businesses varied, from micro businesses such as Accounting Practices to global companies such as Rolls Royce.
The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Professional and Medical Services team and therefore, you will be joining a team of professionals who range from your own discipline in AAT through to Business, Digital and Dental Nursing specialists.
We’re looking for a Career Development Advisor that will thrive off working with our Apprentices who are working towards their AAT qualifications up to and including level 4. You will be required to support, coach, assess and review learners in both the classroom and workplace which means an element of driving will be required. You’ll be joining the business at a really exciting time as our Apprentices are now working towards the new accounting standards rather than the framework model that has previously been in place.
In addition to this, you will also be involved in the recruitment and interview process for applicants for the AAT programme. This will mean that you will be able to interview candidates who you will then help progress through to the end of their course with us and watch as they grow into accounting professionals.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who holds a relevant accounting qualification and has current relevant accounting experience. The ideal candidate will hold an assessors qualification although this is not essential requirement as gaining these qualifications can be supported by us. Due to being required to travel to employers you must hold a full UK driving license.
In return you will be part of a fantastic team and have a very rewarding career in supporting future professionals in accounting along their career pathway.
For this role, you will receive a salary of £25,237 and a competitive benefits package. The role will be based at the Blackburn Training 2000 site and traveI across the North West will be required.
In addition, we believe in providing more than just salary and benefits and we’ll give you time and support to develop your career. Our Career Development Advisors continually develop themselves through CPD opportunities and we are in the process of developing a learning and development strategy with dedicated CPD days to ensure our whole workforce can continually enhance their career.
To give you an idea of our benefits, we firmly believe in having a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase with over time to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance whilst employed at 4 x your annual salary. Finally, with pensions being an important part of peoples’ career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.
We firmly believe that everyone is unique in their own way and we are looking for people from all walks of life who will join our inclusive culture. We are committed to equality, diversity and access for all which makes Training 2000 a great place to work.
Safeguarding of our learners is at the heart of everything that we do. Therefore, due to having children (under 18’s) on our site, all appointments are subject to the receipt of a satisfactory enhanced child workforce disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS; formally the CRB), or a check via the Update Service on a relevant enhanced disclosure. Further information on these checks can be obtained from the Government website.
If this sounds like the kind of role and place for you then we are really excited to hear from you. If you’d like an informal discussion ahead of applying, please contact a member of our HR team on 01254 54659 and they will be more than happy to help.
Complete the following details and we will get in touch.
