Training Officer – Engineering Centre (Automation)

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Training Officer – Engineering Centre, with a specific background in Automation or Mechatronics.

About the Role:

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn and will be permanent role.

It will primarily be responsible for the delivery and assessment of 1st year off-the-job training programmes to employed Apprentices from our customer base

Requirements:

Previous teaching experience is essential for this role, along with a recognised teaching qualification

Training Partner

 Derby

An important Training Partner vacancy has arisen in conjunction with one of our key customers, Rolls Royce to be based in Derby. The role will be a full time, temporary position (initially for a period of 12 months).

About the role:

This role will be responsible for ensuring learning and development is compliant with both business and learner requirements.

This will involve the development of Operational Training Plans and processes through conducting comprehensive training needs analysis through to design, delivery and evaluation.

The successful applicant will therefore need to be self-motivated with strong training and development skills and strong project management experience and possess excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and motivational skills.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be educated to HNC level or similar and have the equivalent experience and capability.

The successful candidate will have suitable breadth and depth of understanding of the manufacturing industry, an excellent understanding of Learning and Development.

Reporting to the Business Manager – Commercial Programmes, this position will require substantial experience of working within the Manufacturing/Engineering sector and will be familiar with HSE and Quality requirements.

Apprentice Development Leader

 Derby

In accordance with our organisational development we have the following important vacancy within our Commercial Organisation, Engineering department to be based at the Rolls Royce site in Derby.

About the role:

You will be responsible for the day to day monitoring and assessment of a group of Apprentices working towards the achievement of Apprenticeship frameworks in manufacturing disciplines.

Customer Service Advisor

 Blackburn

An important vacancy has arisen in the Company’s Shared Services operation for a Customer Service Advisor on a full time, 6 month contract based at the Blackburn site.

About the role:

The core responsibility for the customer service advisor will be the professional management and resolution of all incoming customer calls, portraying a professional, responsible and positive company image at all times.

The successful candidate will be competent in handling varied transactions of administrative workloads and be flexible in their approach to work.

The successful candidate will be able to work on a self-directed basis, but also operate as part of a shared services team, demonstrating both the ability to work under pressure whilst providing a highly responsive customer service.

All training and development will be provided alongside a robust induction programme.

Work Experience Coordinator (Temporary)

A vacancy has arisen for a Work Experience Coordinator at the Learning and Development Centre based at the Rolls-Royce site in Derby.

About the Role:

You will have a passion for Learning and Development, Administration, working with young people and schools and will have relevant experience that you can demonstrate from working in a similar environment.

You will be part of the Quality team who are responsible for the monitoring of the Teaching and Instruction for the Apprenticeship Programme at Rolls-Royce. This is delivered by a highly focused and professional team at Rolls-Royce who you will work closely with.

Duties

  • To deliver responsive and accurate administrative duties, in accordance with Company processes.
  • To provide appropriate cover, support and assistance to administrative colleagues in their existing and other teams to cover for absenteeism and peak workload periods.
  • To proactively promote improvements to processes and procedures with a view to continuously increasing productivity, efficiency and driving quality standards.
  • To input and maintain, timely and accurate electronic paper records, systems and management information.
  • To work with schools to organise work experience for students overseeing the whole programme.
  • Work with the Engineering team to support the young Apprenticeships programme providing feedback to young Apprentices as necessary
  • To communicate effectively whilst organising work experience with internal and external stakeholders
  • To ensure that all contractual activities comply with all internal and external funding contracts and awarding body requirements.

You will also provide appropriate feedback to young Apprentices whilst on programme.

Requirements:

To hold relevant qualifications and experience, be well organised, have great communication skills, be competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have the ability to learn new systems.

Functional Skills Tutor

We currently have a vacancy available for a Functional Skills Tutor.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about the development of Maths and English with young people?

We are looking for committed and inspirational tutors to join our existing team, the aim of the role is to present English, Maths and ICT to learners in a way that engages them and captivates them. The focus will be on making English and Maths come alive and to make it real and vocational and to demonstrate practical ways in which learners can use this in the workplace.

The role requires dedicated and passionate people who have a desire to see Maths and English at the heart of what we can instil in the future working population.

In return you get the opportunity to shape the destiny of a huge number of young people and to change the way in which English and Maths are both delivered and perceived.

Delivery will include English, Maths & ICT from Entry levels up to GCSE. Delivery could consist of additional learning support, Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications.

The successful candidates will be responsible for classroom and one-to-one delivery ensuring learner progress is monitored and recorded and will contribute significantly to the whole learner journey. A specialism in one area is an advantage but a general ability to deliver elements of all core subjects is preferred.

The position is based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site, but will involve an amount of travel across Lancashire to other Training 2000 sites. Therefore a current driving licence and availability of a vehicle (for which mileage is paid at 40p per mile) is essential.

Requirements:

Training Officer (Assessor) – Lift/Escalator

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Training Officer – Employer Engagement, with a specific background in Lift /Escalator maintenance and Installation

About the Role:

This role will be based from home, however the successful candidate will be working on a national basis but predominantly in the Midlands and South of the country.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the assessment and management of apprentices following the Level 3 Lift/Escalator Maintenance or Installation apprenticeship standard and framework.

Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering Instructor

 Derby

A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Engineering Milling Instructor which will be based at the Rolls-Royce site in Derby.

About the Role:

You will have a passion for Machining in particular Milling and will be able to draw on your industry experience to demonstrate hands on relevant experience.

The Engineering Team are responsible for the Teaching and Instruction for the Apprenticeship Programme at Rolls-Royce. This is delivered by a highly focused and professional team, who report to the Engineering Lead at Rolls-Royce.

You will plan training and development programmes with Apprentices taking individual, professional bodies and business requirements into account and ensuring Apprentices complete programmes effectively through networking with stakeholders both internally and externally to the learning environment.

You will also provide appropriate career development coaching and mentoring to Apprentices whilst on programme

Requirements:

To hold a subject specialist vocational qualification (Level 3 Engineering/Machining) – minimum Level 3 and completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn, but will be working on a national basis and will be for a 12 month period to cover maternity leave.

It will primarily be responsible for the assessment and management of apprentices following the Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security apprenticeship standard.

Requirements:

You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

The position requires a self-motivated and effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

A relevant assessing qualification and previous assessing experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided for this role.

Applicants must have completed a recognised Apprenticeship and a background, with experience in Fire, Emergency and Security is essential.
