Mechanical Engineering Instructor

 Derby

A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Engineering Milling Instructor which will be based at the Rolls-Royce site in Derby.

About the Role:

You will have a passion for Machining in particular Milling and will be able to draw on your industry experience to demonstrate hands on relevant experience.

The Engineering Team are responsible for the Teaching and Instruction for the Apprenticeship Programme at Rolls-Royce. This is delivered by a highly focused and professional team, who report to the Engineering Lead at Rolls-Royce.

You will plan training and development programmes with Apprentices taking individual, professional bodies and business requirements into account and ensuring Apprentices complete programmes effectively through networking with stakeholders both internally and externally to the learning environment.

You will also provide appropriate career development coaching and mentoring to Apprentices whilst on programme

Requirements:

You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

To hold a subject specialist vocational qualification (Level 3 Engineering/Machining) – minimum Level 3 and completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.

To hold a teaching qualification is desirable.

Manager – Education & Skills (Engineering)

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Manager – Education & Skills

About the Role:

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn and will be permanent role.

Reporting to the Interim Business Manager – Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for the operational running of and quality standards Apprenticeship delivery and the training centres as well as staff development and budget responsibilities.

Requirements:

This position will require strong managerial skills in the management and development of staff and a comprehensive understanding and experience in the teaching and learning sector and its strategic issues will be of vital importance

Highly effective communication and customer focused skills will be essential in relationship and team development as well as a thorough understanding of workforce development programmes, including apprenticeship standards/frameworks.

Training Officer – Fire, Emergency & Security

 Assessor

 Blackburn

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Training Officer – Employer Engagement, with a specific background in Fire, Emergency and Security

About the Role:

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn, but will be working on a national basis and will be for a 12 month period to cover maternity leave.

It will primarily be responsible for the assessment and management of apprentices following the Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security apprenticeship standard.

Requirements:

You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

The position requires a self-motivated and effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

A relevant assessing qualification and previous assessing experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided for this role.

Applicants must have completed a recognised Apprenticeship and a background, with experience in Fire, Emergency and Security is essential.

Tutor/Assessor

 Peterborough

An important vacancy has arisen within the Dental department for a home based Tutor/Assessor based in Peterborough.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery, assessing and carrying out regular reviews to enable learners to complete their City and Guilds Dental Nursing Level 3 Diploma and experience of delivering Functional Skills would be advantageous.

Duties will also include recruiting young people onto the Apprenticeship programme and will include marketing of Dental programme and working closely with key account holders.

Requirements:

You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

You will require good communication, organisational, IT and administration skills and a Dental Nursing qualification with General Dental Council registration.

The candidate will need to have strong experience in the aforementioned duties and preferably will possess post graduate qualifications.

You may also possess the assessor’s award and a teaching qualification, although these are not essential they are desirable. Full training is available for this role.

The post will involve a degree of travel and therefore a full driver’s licence is essential.

You will have a passion for electrics in particular electrical installation and maintenance (covering wiring and testing of single phase, domestic and three phase systems. You will be able to draw on your industry experience to demonstrate hands on relevant experience.

Training Lead – Automation

 Instructor

 Coventry

A vacancy has arisen for an Engineering Instructor – Mechatronics/Automation to be based at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be required to teach the practical and theoretical elements of Mechatronics/Automation to Level 3 and 4 learners, including Mechatronics related maintenance activities.

You will be required to plan, prepare, develop and evaluate courses and course materials, and where appropriate supervise course provision.

You will also be required to arrange and carry out work-based assessments related to automation and maintenance.

Requirements:

You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

Applicants must have completed a recognised Engineering qualification and have a background in Engineering. Experience within Mechatronics and/or Automation is also essential.

A teaching qualification although not essential is desirable and teaching or training experience is also important

Knowledge and competence in core subjects such as sensor technology, control technology- DC and servo drive technology pneumatic hydraulic and electrical, mechanical components, safety technology sensors and motion control is highly desirable as is a basic understanding of robotics, CNC control and the automation/maintenance industry.

Terms and Conditions:

The working hours for this role are 36 per week from 8.30am Monday to Friday.
