An important vacancy has arisen in the Company’s Central Administration operation for a Central Services Administrator on a full time, permanent basis at the Blackburn site.

About the role:

The core responsibility for the Central Services Administrator will be the professional management and resolution of all incoming customer calls, portraying a professional, responsible and positive company image at all times. The Central Services Administrator will be competent in handling varied transactions of administrative workloads and be flexible in their approach to work.

The successful candidate will be able to work on a self-directed basis, but also operate as part of a Central Administration team, demonstrating both the ability to work under pressure whilst providing a highly responsive customer service.

Receptionist

We currently have a vacancy available for a Part Time Receptionist to be based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site.

About the Role:

The role will be within the Shared Services department at Training 2000, based at the Blackburn site. Therefore the successful candidate will be working alongside a team of Central Services Administrators and report directly into the Central Administration & Call Centre Manager.

This position is often the first contact point for our customers and the successful candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, be an excellent communicator with a professional approach and have an ability to deal with people at all levels.

All required training will be provided alongside a robust induction programme.

Requirements:

You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

Candidates must have excellent administration, planning and organising skills and be able to manage time effectively as well as having an eye for detail and broad knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.

Possession of an NVQ in Business Administration (or equivalent) would be an advantage.

Placement Officer

 Blackburn

An important vacancy has arisen in the Study Programme department for a Placement Officer. This will be a permanent, full time position based in Blackburn but with coverage across Blackburn, Nelson and potentially Blackpool sites.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site in Lancashire.

In this role you will be expected to broker and manage work placements for the students engaged on full and part time programmes to ensure that they receive significant and valuable work experience and placement opportunities.

Requirements:

For the post, a strong experience of working with young people from different backgrounds would be an advantage and strong experience of Information, Advice and Guidance and partnership working is critical for this role. Proven experience of working in a sales/recruitment or employer engagement environment would also be beneficial.

You will be highly organised, self-motivated and will be a good communicator as well as having excellent listening skills, strong administration skills and influencing skills. You will also have a proven track record of achieving contractual targets and Key Performance Indicators.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the recruitment and selection processes and be committed to progressing young people to their desired outcomes in line with the department’s objectives. The aim will be to progress people from placement into employment.

Functional Skills Tutor

We currently have a vacancy available for a Functional Skills Maths Tutor (capable of delivering English and ICT if required).

About the Role:

Are you passionate about the development of Maths and English with young people?

We are looking for committed and inspirational tutors to join our existing team, the aim of the role is to present Maths (some English and ICT) to learners in a way that engages them and captivates them. The focus will be on making Maths come alive and to make it real and vocational and to demonstrate practical ways in which learners can use this in the workplace.

The role requires dedicated and passionate people who have a desire to see Maths at the heart of what we can instil in the future working population.

In return you get the opportunity to shape the destiny of a huge number of young people and to change the way in which Maths is delivered and perceived.

Delivery will include Maths (main subject), English & ICT from Entry levels up to GCSE. Delivery could consist of additional learning support, Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications.

The successful candidates will be responsible for classroom and one-to-one delivery ensuring learner progress is monitored and recorded and will contribute significantly to the whole learner journey. A specialism in one area is an advantage but a general ability to deliver elements of all core subjects is preferred.

The position is based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site, but will involve an amount of travel across Lancashire to other Training 2000 sites. Therefore a current driving licence and availability of a vehicle (for which mileage is paid at 40p per mile) is essential.

Requirements:

You will require appropriate Maths and English qualifications, excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.

The successful candidate must possess a recognised teaching qualification and experience of teaching Maths and/or English.

Instructor – Military Skills

 Instructor

 Blackpool

An opportunity has arisen for an Instructor – Military Skills at Training 2000 to deliver the Military Preparation Programme.

About the Role:

This role will be based at Training 2000’s Blackpool site in Lancashire.

The successful candidates will be preparing young people aged between 11-18 years old who aspire to progress into the Armed Forces.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will ideally hold a Physical Training Instructor qualification or equivalent, and a teaching qualification and/or willing to work towards. They will demonstrate a strong commitment to their continuous professional development, ensuring their development is aligned to specified requirements. Candidates must have a proven experience of delivering Physical training and ideally personal effectiveness and employability skills.

Previous Military experience would be a definite advantage.

Candidates will have experience in teaching to groups of learners from diverse backgrounds that may be facing multiple barriers to participation in employment and training.

Candidates will have a genuine desire to work with and to support the customer group to progress them into the Army, an apprenticeship, further education or other employment.

The successful candidate will be well organised, innovative and creative, be self motivated and good communicators as well as having excellent listening skills and good administrative skills. Candidates will have significant experience in the design and development of Physical Training programmes and hold strong classroom management skills.

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Training Officer – Engineering Centre, with a specific background in Automation or Mechatronics.

About the Role:

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn and will be permanent role.

It will primarily be responsible for the delivery and assessment of 1st year off-the-job training programmes to employed Apprentices from our customer base

Requirements:

The position requires a self-motivated and effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

Previous teaching experience is essential for this role, along with a recognised teaching qualification

Training Officer (Assessor) – Lift/Escalator

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Training Officer – Employer Engagement, with a specific background in Lift /Escalator maintenance and Installation

About the Role:

This role will be based from home, however the successful candidate will be working on a national basis but predominantly in the Midlands and South of the country.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the assessment and management of apprentices following the Level 3 Lift/Escalator Maintenance or Installation apprenticeship standard and framework.

Requirements:

You need to be committed, passionate and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

The position requires a self-motivated and effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

A relevant assessing qualification and previous assessing experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided for this role

Terms and Conditions:

This role requires the use of the candidates own vehicle and will include a car allowance of £400 per month. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Company procedures.

Mechanical Engineering Instructor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineering Instructor at the Rolls-Royce site in Derby. This permanent role will be based at the Learning and Development Centre in the Apprentice Academy as an employee of Training 2000.

About the Role:

You will have a passion for Machining with experience in manual Milling, Turning and particularly CNC and will be able to draw on your industry experience to demonstrate hands on relevant experience.

The Engineering Team are responsible for the Teaching and Instruction for the Apprenticeship Programme at Rolls-Royce. This is delivered by a highly focused and professional team, who report to the Engineering Lead at Rolls-Royce.

You will plan training and development programmes with Apprentices taking individual, professional bodies and business requirements into account and ensuring Apprentices complete programmes effectively through networking with stakeholders both internally and externally to the learning environment.

You will also provide appropriate career development coaching and mentoring to Apprentices whilst on programme

Requirements:

You must love working with young people, need to be committed, passionate about learning and development and driven to deliver the company’s objective of an Amazing place with Amazing people!

To hold a subject specialist vocational qualification– minimum Level 3 and completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship

To hold a teaching qualification and an assessor qualification is desirable but training will be provided.
