The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Engineering team and therefore, you will be joining a team of Instructors who are all skilled across a range of disciplines within Engineering and who have a real passion for creating future talent.

 

We’re looking for an Engineering Instructor that has experience in fabrication and welding and who wants to pass on that knowledge to our Apprentices. You will be responsible for delivery on the governments newly created qualification developed in partnership with employers and delivering training to industry standards in all disciplines where they are currently available. You will be teaching predominantly practical based sessions to our apprentices in our Centre Workshop although some theoretical sessions will be required.

 

We are looking for someone who has a strong Engineering background and has experience in Engineering fabrication and welding. Our ideal candidate will have also have experience in teaching and assessing although this is not essential and full training and qualifications can be provided as part of our attractive benefits package.

We’re looking for a FE / HE Tutor that will deliver both Higher and Further education qualifications. The Higher Education element of this role is to deliver and assess the qualifications at Levels 4 (HNC) and 5 (HND) in the engineering disciplines of Manufacturing, Design, Project Management, Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance or Electrical and Electronics. Alongside this, the Further Education element includes the assessment of BTEC (Pearson) qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 in engineering disciplines.

 

We are looking for someone who holds an appropriate Engineering qualification at level 4 or above and has experience teaching ideally at HE level.

 

In return, you will be part of the continuing development of the FE and HE delivery at Training 2000 as we continue to grow as part of the UCLan group. You will play a fundamental part in Training 2000 achieving its strategic vision by continuously improving its teaching and learning.

 

For this role, you will receive a salary of up to £37,000 per annum (dependent upon qualifications) and a competitive benefits package. We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Instructor that will deliver both practical and theoretical learning sessions that cover vocational and work related skills relative to the sector.  You will be responsible for ensuring that you effectively support our learners through their qualification and will have a specialism in Electrical Maintenance to pass on your knowledge and skills.

 

We are looking for someone who holds an appropriate Engineering qualification and a background of Electrical Engineering is essential. Our ideal candidate will have teaching and assessing experience although this is not essential as we will be able to provide development for the right individual to gain these skills and qualifications.

Engineering FE Tutor – Fire & Security

The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Engineering team and therefore, you will be joining a team of tutors who are all passionate about making a difference to the lives of our apprentices. You will be joining the FE / HE team and therefore will be delivering on our level 3 programmes and will be subject specific in Fire and Security systems.

 

We’re looking for an FE Tutor that will work as part of our FE / HE team to design, develop and deliver both theoretical and practical learning programmes. You will be the expert in the field of Fire and Security and will ensure that learners are effectively supported through their apprenticeship to achieve their qualification.

 

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and technically competent in fire and security disciplines including fire, security, CCTV and access control. Our ideal candidate will hold a qualification in either fire and security, emergency systems or electrical engineering to a minimum of Level 3 and will have a real passion for passing knowledge onto our apprentices. We are looking for someone who has teaching experience and although not essential, a teaching qualification would be an advantage.

 

In return, you will work as part of a dedicated team and develop the Engineers of the future.

 

For this role, you will receive a salary of up to £31,000 (dependent upon qualifications held) and a competitive benefits package. In addition, we believe in providing more than just salary and benefits and we’ll give you time and support so you can develop your career. The position is based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site and working hours for this role are 37.5 per week; 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on Fridays.

The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Automotive Commercial team and therefore, you will be joining a team of technical trainers who deliver on a wide range of commercial courses and have fantastic relationships with our customers.

 

We’re looking for an Automotive Technical Trainer that will deliver predominantly on our Accident Repair courses, specifically Body/ Panel repair, MET and ADAS courses.  You will be responsible for the development and delivery of commercial courses and assessments, both classroom and workshop based in our Automotive Centre in Blackburn.

 

We are looking for someone who holds an appropriate Automotive qualification and although not essential a teaching or assessor qualification would be an advantage.

Functional Skills Tutor – Maths Specialism

At Training 2000, we are looking to recruit a Functional Skills Tutor who has a specialism in maths. We are looking for an outstanding individual who can not only deliver a qualification but who can engage and inspire our learners to better their education across Functional Skills.

In this role, your key focus will be to make maths come alive, make it real, vocational and to demonstrate practical ways in which learners can use their new skills in the workplace.

To be successful in this role, you will be a dedicated and passionate person who has a desire to see maths and English at the heart of what we can instil in the future working population.

You will be teaching groups and on a one to one basis ensuring learner progress is monitored and recorded as this will contribute significantly to the whole learner journey. A specialism in Maths is an advantage but a general ability to deliver elements of all core subjects is preferred.

In return, this role will give you fantastic job satisfaction by working as part of a great team of people who are all working together to change the perception of the traditional Functional Skills delivery.

It is an exciting time to be joining our business as we have recently appointed a Curriculum Manager for English and Maths to elevate how we use this department across our business. By joining the team, you will be part of the transformation over the next 12 months and have the opportunity to influence how we drive forward the subject you are passionate about.

A teaching qualification is desirable however support in this area is also available for the right candidate.

Requirements:

Terms and Conditions:

This position attracts a salary of £22,987 plus an attractive benefits package including 27 days holiday per year which increases to 32 days with service.

The position is based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site, but will involve some travel to other Training 2000 sites as required therefore a valid UK driving license is essential.

The working hours for this role are 37.5 per week working 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.30pm on Fridays.
