Our professional service department has a vacancy for  an AAT Tutor.

 

About the Role:

 

The successful candidate will be required to teach Level 3 and Level 4 Accounting programmes to predominantly apprentices in line with the new standards.

 

You will be required to teach at both Blackburn and Blackpool sites during daytime hours Monday to Friday.

 

Ideally we are looking for a full time permanent employee, but consideration will be given for an associate tutor who is available to work the teaching hours we require.

 

Requirements:

 

The successful candidate must hold a teaching qualification and AAT, or equivalent qualifications, at level 4 or above with continued professional development.

 

It is expected that you will be well organised, innovative and creative, have strong classroom management skills, be self-motivated and a good communicator as well as having excellent listening skills and good administrative skills.

 

You must have a proven track record of your learners achieving good to outstanding lesson observation feedback.

 

You must have significant experience of curriculum design, development and delivery within the relevant occupational sector with an excellent & proven understanding of classroom management strategies that aid the engagement of learners.

 

It is expected you will have strong interpersonal skills, active listening skills and excellent ability to coach/mentor to aid learner progression.

 

You must hold a valid driving licence and have your own transport.

About the role:

A vacancy has arisen within our Blackburn Restaurant for a Catering Assistant on a permanent, part time hour’s contract.

This role is a Term Time only position, however flexibility is essential to cover events, staff training days and holiday cover.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the successful applicant will work as part of a small team, undertaking all aspects of catering and delivery of excellent customer service within our busy kitchen on the Blackburn site. The Duties will include maintaining the kitchen areas up to the current 5 stars rating of hygiene and cleanliness and supporting the Head Chef in the preparation and serving of breakfasts and lunches.

 

For this position previous food preparation, counter service and kitchen cleaning experience would be essential along with ideally a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate although training on food hygiene to level 2 will be given. The applicant must be able to handle cash accurately and the use of electronic payments. Experience on an EPOS (electronic point of sale) till would also be desirable but training again will be given.

You will provide a recruitment/vacancy matching service to our employers and work closely with young people who have applied to Training 2000 to help them gain apprenticeship opportunities.

 

The duties will involve liaising with employers who wish to recruit an apprentice and will be responsible for matching applicants for Apprenticeship vacancies across all sectors.

 

Requirements:

 

You should ideally have a recruitment background or have worked in a similar background. This person will also be expected to deliver appropriate advice and guidance.

 

The ability to communicate at all levels is essential. Good geographic knowledge and a driving licence is also preferred as there will be travel required.

 

An NVQ Level 3 in Information, Advice and Guidance or possession of an NVQ Level 3 Customer Service is desirable, although not essential.

An opportunity has arisen for an Instructor – Military Skills at Training 2000 to deliver the Military Preparation Programme.

 

About the Role:

 

This role will be based at Training 2000’s Blackpool site in Lancashire.

 

The successful candidates will be preparing young people aged between 11-18 years old who aspire to progress into the Armed Forces.

 

Requirements:

 

The successful candidate will ideally hold a Physical Training Instructor qualification or equivalent, and a teaching qualification and/or willing to work towards. They will demonstrate a strong commitment to their continuous professional development, ensuring their development is aligned to specified requirements. Candidates must have a proven experience of delivering Physical training and ideally personal effectiveness and employability skills.

 

Previous Military experience would be a definite advantage.

 

Candidates will have experience in teaching to groups of learners from diverse backgrounds that may be facing multiple barriers to participation in employment and training.

 

Candidates will have a genuine desire to work with and to support the customer group to progress them into the Army, an apprenticeship, further education or other employment.

You will be able to bring together strong and dynamic leadership of the Engineering team whilst also ensuring that we transition the Engineering department into the future opportunities and growth areas in line with our Horizon plan objectives.

Lift/Escalator Maintenance and Installation Engineer.

We are recruiting for 2 candidates within the Company’s Engineering department for a trainer/assessor specific to lift and escalator engineering to cover the Midlands (role 1) and London (Role 2)

About the Role:

This role will be based from home, however the successful candidate will be working on a national basis but predominantly in the Midlands (Role 1) OR London (Role 2)

The successful candidates will primarily be responsible for the assessment and management of apprentices.

This role will be supporting apprentices employed by “OTIS Lifts”

You will assess the competence of each of your apprentices to recognized accredited standards for lift/escalator construction and maintenance.

Requirements:

Applicants must have completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship

Experience within the lift/escalator industry is crucial for a candidate to be successful in this role.

A relevant assessing qualification is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will need to complete assessor training during a probation period.

About the Role:

Are you an experienced Compliance Officer looking to take on a new challenge?

We are looking for an amazing person with experience of Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) contracts to join our existing team to lead the delivery of funding body compliance activity, through rigorous and continuous review and audit of mandatory, contractual documentation and processes.

You will require comprehensive knowledge of ESFA requirements whilst demonstrating open, honest and supportive behaviours in alignment with our Core Values. A positive, customer focused outlook which supports the development of strong internal relationships is essential.

You will be expected to plan, prepare and implement an audit programme through active engagement with staff and have the ability to analyse data quality reports to identify and prioritise the auditing of high risk areas to prevent the escalation of errors and financial risks. You will lead a small virtual team of auditors in conducting regular audits and reviews of evidence then develop and agree corrective action plans with staff on the funding body requirements, including communications, dissemination and training. You will need the skills to robustly challenge and guide staff on non-compliance issues whilst providing support on corrective action.

The position is based at Training 2000’s Blackburn site, but will involve some travel across Lancashire to our other sites.  A current driving licence and availability of a vehicle (for which mileage is paid at 40p per mile) is essential.

Engineering Trainer – Bristol

We currently have a vacancy available for a Engineering Technical Trainer based in Bristol.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Training Officer – Design and Make Programme, to provide a technical advisory and mentoring service to Graduate Trainees. Graduates are expected to experience a positive challenge during the project in order to achieve their objectives via face to face discussions and proactive coaching at the Rolls-Royce site in Bristol. This is a permanent role as an employee of Training 2000.

About the Role:

You will have a passion for Learning and Development and possess a good practical understanding of Engineering. You will have gained experience working with Graduates and be an excellent facilitator, trainer coach and mentor. An excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Practice to enable safe working processes are set up and followed. The Engineering Design and Make Team are responsible for giving Graduates a fantastic experience guiding them through their project and successfully managing both internal and external stakeholder groups for each design and make project. This includes, Customers, Suppliers, External Bodies and internal Rolls-Royce Experts. You will be responsible for attending and supporting Graduate Trainees at all meetings and all formal reviews, including mid project and final review.

You will be a well organised professional with excellent communication and project management skills and used to planning and delivering training and development programmes. You will need to embrace and be an advocate of company culture and behaviours, able to adapt and be flexible to business requirements.

As part of the wider Design and make team you will be required to support the Derby Programme when required. In addition some support for Bristol  Apprentices will be required and on occasions the wider Learning and Development Services.

Maintenance Engineer – Training Officer 

Training 2000 is a charitable trust set up by a consortium of Lancashire businesses and is now one of the largest Group Training Associations in England, with over 50 years’ experience of delivering high quality work-based learning and training programs to industry and individuals. We have grown to around 240 staff and many centers across the North West and other areas of the UK, working with national employers across a wide range of sectors, whilst maintaining local support.

An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Maintenance engineer to deliver training.

About the Role:

This role will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn and will be permanent role.

The role will primarily be responsible for the delivery and assessment of Electrical maintenance incorporating PLC’s to 1st year Apprentices. All apprentices are employed within reputable companies

Requirements:

Applicants must have completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship and a background with experience in Electrical Engineering is essential.

A relevant assessing qualification is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be required to complete assessor training during a probationary period.
