Target Group

This course is aimed at anyone involved with working at height. It is also applicable to those whose role includes managing or supervising staff, or is responsible for site safety where working at height is necessary.

Aims

The Safe Working at Heights course provides an appreciation of safety legislation covering working at height, and examination of good working practice.

Objectives

For delegates to understand the responsibilities and obligations of the Working at Height regulations 2005; and how these apply to them as individuals.

Content

Upon completion of the course, candidates will be able to:

• Understand the duties and responsibilities of management and employees
• Identify potentially hazardous situations whilst working at height
• Understand the importance of selecting the appropriate safe working platform
• Understand the importance of edge protection and safe means of access
• Use ladders safely
• Understand the dangers of working on roofs
