Target Group
This course is aimed at candidates who are required to assemble, dismantle or alter Mobile Access Towers. It is also intended for those who have responsibility of Managing/Supervising areas in which mobile towers are used.
Aims
To obtain recognition of competency in assembling, dismantling the alteration of Mobile Access Towers.
Objectives
How to safely assemble, dismantle, relocate and alter a mobile access tower without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others.
Content
- Legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers
- PASMA Code of Practice
- Product standards EN1004:2004
- Assembling, altering and dismantling towers incorporating best current practice for fall protection
- Inspection of completed mobile access towers and completion of inspection records
- Hazards affecting the use of mobile access towers and how to avoid them
Method Of Delivery
Instruction both in theory and practical with assessments.
Assessment
Competency will be confirmed through successful completion of a written and practical test.
Qualification
Successful delegates who pass a written and practical test will be issued with a competency certificate and an encapsulated credit card sized Photo Card which has a 5 year validity period.
Pre-requisites
Delegates must be of good physical health and have literacy and language comprehension. Delegates will be required to work at height as practical demonstration of ability/understanding whilst being able to read and follow manufacturers instruction manual.
