Target Group
Trainees must have had a minimum of 6 months practical site experience following their successful completion of the CISRS Part 1 training before attending the Part 2 course.
Aims
In line with CISRS requirement this 10 day training course upon successful completion will provide the candidate with a CISRS centre training certification.
Objectives
Upon completion the trainee will be able, as a member of a team, to erect, alter and dismantle the covered scaffold structures safely and in the correct sequence.
The operative will be able to interpret scaffold drawings.
Content
The 2 week CISRS Part 2 course will cover the following elements:
• ½ Day SG4:05 Training
• Product familiarisation in approved prefabricated system scaffold
• Basic Independent tied scaffold
• Truss-out scaffold
• Scaffolds with prefabricated beams
• Protective fans
• Pavement gantry
• Loading bay
• Roof saddle scaffold
• Splay scaffold
• Roof edge protection
• TG4 Tie Testing
• Alterations (e.g. removing standards from a structure)
• 50 Question Test Paper

Additional Information
Please Note: Trainee scaffolders should not be carrying out any work unless under the direct supervision of a CISRS qualified scaffolder.
An operative is considered a trainee until they have completed Part 1, Part 2, NVQ and H&S test irrelevant of their time in the industry.
When delivered in conjunction with the scaffolding NVQ Level 2, funding may be available to cover the cost of this course through Train to Gain.
