Coronavirus Update for Employers 18th March

March 18, 2020

Dear all,

The situation is changing on a daily basis and we will ensure we keep you updated regularly on our response to the changing situation.

We will continue to follow guidance and instruction from Public Health England and the Government in relation to COVID19 Coronavirus. We will take all necessary steps to ensure that learners’ health, safety and wellbeing is at the forefront of our decisions balanced with a respect for your business needs.

Training 2000 is currently open as normal. The recruitment team will be working on vacancies and teaching continues. Students are able to attend classes unless they are unwell, self-isolating or if you feel as employers they should no longer attend. All absences should be reported in the normal manner. Our Learner Support Officers are available to speak to any learners who may need additional guidance and support.

We do not want this to affect your apprentices learning and we are fully committed to continuing their education. That said, we might have to make some adjustments for example if learners are no longer attending classes or our staff are self-isolating we will move towards online / remote delivery and mentoring. We will also use digital means to send work for your learners and would ask that you continue to support the contractual requirements of providing opportunity for Apprentices to undertake their 20% off-the-job training.

As you will appreciate this is an unprecedented situation and we thank you for your patience and understanding at this challenging time while we work through the solutions.
