For almost 50 years Training 2000 has helped individuals and employers locally,
regionally, nationally and more recently, internationally to prosper and
grow. Our headquarters in Blackburn are linked to a large employer and delivery
network throughout Lancashire. We have a well established reputation for
excellence in service provision and have recently been awarded a Centre
of Vocational Excellence for our work in the engineering field. Our recent
national inspection commended us on high standards of service delivery and
investment, as a not for profit organisation, in staff and physical resources.
As an Investor in People we believe in the continuous professional development
of our staff to ensure their specialist skills keep pace with innovation
and technology.
We are highly regarded in the training sector for our work with employers
and young people and have gained recognition through national awards.
Our training and development of young people has led to many going on
to win national awards for achievement in their sector. Many have progressed
to make a valuable contribution to their sector by becoming company directors,
managers, supervisors and high level technicians.
Our company has grown to become one of the top 25 providers of training
and development services in the UK and we have strong links with blue
chip companies such as Rolls-Royce plc, BAE SYSTEMS, Leyland Trucks, Capita
and also with overseas clients in China, India and Saudi Arabia. We have
well established partnerships with the Learning and Skills Council for
Lancashire, Local Authorities, Health Care Trusts, the Connexion Service,
Schools and Colleges working collaboratively to provide the best services
for our customers and local residents. Examples of our partnership activity
include working with schools on vocational GCSEs and extended work experience
programmes. Each year we deliver services in training and education to
over 1300 companies and 2000 young people and adults.
We recognise the increasing importance of affordable training and education
for young people and employers and all our services to young people and
many services to adults and employers are free of charge.
