Training 2000’s Brathay Apprentice Challenge team have marked the final phase of the heats stage of the competition by completing their community project.

Volunteering at the Sunnyhurst Centre in Darwen, the nine-strong team got to work reinvigorating two calm rooms and also outside the centre – using paint kindly donated by Crown Paint.

As part of the work the apprentices added splashes of colour and character to the two rooms, which will help facilitate a calming and friendly environment for the young people attending the centre.

Training 2000’s challenge team leader Michael said:

“These are vital facilities and all of the team has been delighted to be able to get involved, donating their time to start making a difference at the centre for all the young people who attend.”
