Q – What does AAT stand for?

A -Association of Accounting Technicians and is a highly recognised professional accounting qualification


Q – What is the AAT qualification equal to?

A – The AAT qualification is equal to a Level 4. This is similar to an access course in the first year of university.


Q – How much can an AAT qualified Accounting Technician earn?

A – The salary ranges from £20,000 for a Level 2 apprentice up to £37,000 when you are fully qualified. Some accounting technicians open up their own accounting practices and work for themselves. The earning potential is then unlimited, the more clients you engage the more you make.


Q – How am I supported on my Apprenticeship?

A – You will have a dedicated Career Development Advisor, our Functional Skills tutors and Learner Support Officers. You will also be supported by your Manager/ mentor at your workplace.


Q – Will my classes be online?

A – At the moment all our classes are online, but normally we offer classes at our Blackburn site or at Preston (UCLan).


Q – How often do attend class?

A – One day a week.


Q – Do I have to sit exams?

A – Yes, approximately every 12 weeks you will have an AAT exam.


Q – How do I apply?

A – Visit our website and fill out our application form. Our recruitment team will get in touch with you to arrange an informal chat and talk to you about our apprenticeship vacancies. They will then put you forward for interviews.
