A group of Training 2000 apprentices have successfully ran a business breakfast aimed at engaging with businesses about the benefits of hiring an apprentice within their workforce.
Part of the Brathay Apprentice Challenge, the event included a talk from team leader Michael, who highlighted the benefits he has felt from completing an apprenticeship, how this has impacted on his day-to-day role, and what he sees himself doing in the future.
The event also included a short presentation on what the Brathay Challenge is, with some statistics on how apprenticeships are benefiting organisations across the country.
The session ended with a round table discussion on apprenticeships and how they currently work in each organisation who attended the 90-minute breakfast – and saw a number of businesses complete a questionnaire declaring that they found the event beneficial and would continue to support apprenticeships within their businesses going forward.
Challenge Team Leader Michael, who also works in the finance team at Training 2000, said:
“This was a great opportunity to talk to businesses about apprenticeships and how they can help both the learner and business grow and thrive.
“As apprentices ourselves we all passionately wanted to get involved and organise this event as part of the Brathay Apprentice Challenge, and we are really glad it went well.”
